BAR Coworking space HOTEL

Designed by Saar Zafrir, the hotel takes its guests on a journey back in time with a colourful interior reminiscent of the 1980s. The concept revolves around music codes, with the 80s hit ‘Forever Young’ by Alphaville manifesting itself as the soundtrack to the hotel’s design, remixed in the modern version by Jay-Z & Mr Hudson.

The remodelled hotel comprises 259 stylish rooms, a lobby bar and casual dining lounge, a co-working area and an old-school gaming area reminiscent of 1980s arcade halls. Upon entering the Remix Hotel, guests are greeted by a reception desk made up of original cassette tapes spliced together and finished with a sophisticated marble top.

In the lobby bar, a wall of old analogue televisions stacked on top of each other broadcasts 24-hour content through advanced video mapping technology. Ninety per cent of the furniture was either upgraded or custom-made by SZ Design, including neon wall signs, original artwork, wooden furniture, light fixtures, and wallpaper and rugs that reference the popular culture of the era.

The self-check-in facility is located in an original arcade machine
