The interior of the two Michelin star awarded restaurant La Terraza del Casino was created by no one less than Jaime Hayon ten years ago. Now he stepped up for a revamp. The star designer respected the histotric substance of Madrid’s old building as it is the only public part of the 1910 built clubhouse of the Casino de Madrid in the Calle de Alcalá. Instead, Madrilenian Hayon preferred to play with color. The walls are now painted in bright green, the ceilings enhanced with dramatic chandeliers and funnel-like built-ins. Colorful glass doors and arches connect the dining rooms of the La Terraza. Hayon picks up these curves in the area of the round tables and combines them with bright yellow chairs.
For Jaime Hayon fans. Also worth a visit is the Hotel Barceló Torre de Madrid also created by the star designer
