Over the years, people become more solid – even those who have long run a wild Amsterdam sleep-in in a former orphanage. And so they decide to convert their hostel right next to Oosterpark into a chic 4-star hotel: with a grand central staircase, carvings, long corridors, a blood-red velvet curtain in the dining room, a hotel café illuminated by stage lights, and a nightclub with impressive ceiling paintings. So there’s still a bit of a haunted house atmosphere – after all, becoming solid doesn’t mean being boring.
