“As soon as they walk in, guests should feel like they’re on vacation,” says Portuguese-born Luis Dias, explaining the spatial concept of his restaurant, which opened in 2023. Chef Cyril Becker adds: “In Germany, people always want to eat quite quickly and then leave again quickly. We want to encourage guests to stay, feel comfortable and happily enjoy their time together.”

To do justice to this, the son of a Frenchwoman offers many smaller dishes that encourage people to try them out and communicate. The cuisine: Mediterranean, international-Asian. The interior design provides the cozy setting. The historic guidelines of the building were taken into account and windows and wall paneling were retained in their original form and lovingly integrated into the design concept.

Warm turquoise walls evoke the sky and the sea, while large-format pictures in intense colors and a coordinated lighting concept set beautiful accents. Last but not least, comfortable chairs ensure that the seat meat plays along for a long time.

The wine list holds about 30 percent Portuguese as well as regional and international wines
