Every Prague district has its own charisma – which, of course, is not set in stone. For although many establishments in rather plainer price categories derive their special charm from relaxed carelessness, the Czech capital is now also dominated by a trend toward modernly interpreted restaurants.

The latest example of this is the 2021 restaurant in Vinohradská Avenue designed by Studio 20-20-Architekti, a project that focuses on terracotta tones, natural wood and – in connection with the owners’ name – even the symbolism of the plates used. The latter can be found as decoration on the walls. Chef David Kalina serves specialties of modern Czech cuisine, but also juicy steaks cooked on charcoal.

The restaurant offers a perfect view of the TV tower Žižkov – a historical example of technical architecture
