True Laurel

classic. symbolic. geometric. relief-like.
Café Restaurant
San Francisco

The dining bar True Laurel is a homage to the laurel trees of the Bay Area.

Those who think that the classic wreath dominates the design are wrong. The symbol for fame and honor was integrated with understatement by taking the cross section of the tree and placing it in a plate of white and green quartz in the main bar.

The shelf behind the bar resembles a geometric sculpture inspired by artist María Freire and serves as an eye catcher as does the wall relief inspired by Noguchi’s Playground Designs by Nicholas Roberto.

A second bar offers two times four people the opportunity to take part in an experimental and exclusive tasting menu with cocktails and fine dining meals in an intimate environment.
