Scribbles have never been as interesting as at the Skopik & Lohn. Even without the impressive ceiling painting, this modern Viennese ‘Beisl’ would be a great restaurant. The abstract lines in the sky add an arty touch to the Persian rugs on the floors and the wood paneling on the walls. Consequently, the menue combines classics with contemporary dishes. The it-veggie topinambur becomes a cream soup and blood sausage is coated with onion jam. Besides the excellent Wiener Schnitzel, the changing main courses convince with their courage for unusual flavour combinations. Note: Nobody should leave the place before having been served a desert by the black-and-white clad waiters. To mention one: chocolate tarte with salted caramel and black sesame ice cream.
The Ckopic & Lohn is always bustling. Those lucky to meet owner Horst Scheuer in a quiet moment, should talk to him about his passion for Laverda motorcycles. He will likely share a peak into photo albums filled with white machines.
