The São Vicente Alfama Hotel is a homage to the history of the original building, a former school of the Institute for Arts and Crafts but also to Portugal’s patron saint, São Vicente.

To honor the past of the building, the principle of the design concept was to highlight the ‘truth’ of the materials and skip any decor.

Of course, wood became the dominant material. The subtle color palette as well as a well-chosen balance between art and delight round of the approach.

The restaurant is very Portuguese and offers guests traditional meals, always accompanied by regional wines.
