Managed by chef David Lee, the Planta conquered a market niche in Miami’s bustling gastronomy scene. The restaurant focuses on innovative, plant-based cuisine that also works on top level – so to say, high end vegan. The 200 seats are spread across two inner and one outer area with an elegant yet relaxed atmosphere.
Black and white floors, hexagonally tiled walls and lots of skylights underline this balance. The barn-like construction of the second inner area is especially striking. It features room high windows and whitened historic oak beams from the Original building erected in 1926. Two bars and a sushi counter complement the generous restaurant that can accommodate small as well as large parties.
The ingredients for some of the dishes are grown on the restaurants’s roof garden.
