With its lagoon-like pool landscapes and its lush gardens, the Meliá Salinas is something like Lanzarote’s green oasis. The five-star hotel is directly located by the Atlantic between two natural sand beaches and offers guests exquisitely furnished rooms that were completely updated in 2018.
Two stars of the Spanish design were responsible for the design of the hotel: Madrid’s architect Fernando Higueras and artist César Manrique from Lanzarote. Higueras’ staircase-like building design convinces visually but also assures that all rooms are flooded with natural light. And the garden and pool areas designed by Manrique are an impressive homage to the nature of the volcano island — and already received many awards.
