The intimate cocktail bar Live Twice refers to the modern Japan of mid 20th Century. For that, a tight and long bar room was extended with niches that in sum provide more coziness and intimacy.

But it is also called 007: The Bond movie and the TV series “Mad Men” were used as reference while Nancy Sinatra’s title song for the James Bond movie “You Only Live Twice” from 1967 served as name giver. That assures a special setting of American-Japanese retro atmosphere.

The interior rooms that have been covered with ply wood are reduced and furnished with modern mid-century furniture. A classic Akari light sculpture matches the yellow Saarinen stools, two original, butter soft “Falcon” seats with Giancarlo Piretti’s characteristic “Alky” chairs.

The lyrics of the legendary song “You Only Live Twice” also shapes the drink menu of the Live Twice – it encompasses 14 cocktails
