After three years of renovation, the Raffles Hotel Singapur re-opened in the summer of 2019 – it was founded in 1887. Very possible that the new old glory will last another century. While the restored rooms still radiate a strong high society aura, new technologies improve the guest experience.
The rooms were equipped with energy efficient lighting and ACs that can be steered via an intelligent touchpad in the rooms. Wherever possible, the natural ventilation of the social and public rooms was kept.
The restored colonial hotel is among the winners in the category “Hotel Renovation & Restoration” of the AHEAD Asia Awards 2020
