A telephone exchange once resided in this landmarked neo-baroque magnificent building on the Pest side of the city. That’s why the luxury hotel it now houses, designed by Catalan GCA Architects, is called Kozmo – the name comes from “Közlés”, the Hungarian word for “communication”.

And indeed, it communicates beautifully with its guests: the 23 suites and 61 rooms are designed in a minimalist and luxurious style in light, friendly colors, while the designer furniture and parquet floors are elegantly dark. The beautiful courtyard, the oyster bar, and the spacious spa & wellness area are also impressive.

The stairs to the upper floors are spectacular – they virtually demand great performances
