At Delta, at the very top of the Renzo Piano-designed Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center building, you might feel overwhelmed by what’s on offer.
There’s the food by George Papazacharias and Thanos Feskos – 13- or 17-course menus that apply Nordic cuisine methods to Greek ingredients, dishes like bean casserole with fermented wild garlic leaves or crispy chicken skin, pickled berries and chocolate ganache.
And there’s the sensational design by Kois Associated Architects: lots of glass, marble and metal, delicately shimmering surfaces, and in the center a gigantic bar created by Andreas Voukenas and architect Steven Petrides, made of hand-hammered copper, sculpture rather than furniture, as if emerged from a dream.
