A brutalist 70s concrete block, an elaborate restoration of the former bank complex by London’s Universal Design Studio and a pretty impressive art collection: here comes the At Six, opened in March 2017 in Stockholm.
To turn the building into one of the country’s leading luxury hotels, the British designers set their focus on the best of the best, both locally and internationally. The interior features pieces by established Scandinavian designers and Swedish producers as well as designs from all over the world.
The art collection includes works by Jaume Plensa, Olafur Eliasson and Swedish photographer Dawid as well as pieces by Kristina Matousch in the rooms. The flair of a contemporary urban Grand Hotel is also radiated by the materials such as polished granite, blackened steal and fine wood.
The “Listening Lounge” is the musical living room of the hotel. It is all about sound and music quality, not about volume.
