The name gives you an idea of where the culinary journey will take you. Amigo Cohen, located in the Hotel Romy by Amano opposite Berlin Central Station, serves Israeli-Mexican fusion cuisine. What may seem like a long stretch – after all, there’s no mention of neighboring countries – makes perfect sense on the plates (with pita alongside chili con carne, for example).

The guacamole here is prepared fresh at the table. The enormous spirits menu, dominated by mezcal and tequila, should also be noted. The interior with its black marble tables, elegant armchairs and sophisticated ceiling lights is sophisticated. The whole place is livened up by brightly colored murals.

Amigo Cohen is not least about socializing. It’s best to come to eat in a group and order sharing plates – that way you can try out the different tacos (e.g. with grilled octopus, tomato salsa and avocado)
