The building on Lake Zurich was built in 1928 as an apartment house with an Art Deco-style restaurant and became a hotel as early as 1932. After extensive conversion and renovation work, it reopened at the beginning of 2021 as Ameron Bellerive au Lac.
Monoplan is responsible for the interior, a contemporary interpretation of Art Deco, and the in-house art concept was developed by Simone Florell and Marcus Zumbansen.
Of interest to film aficionados is the “Studio Bellerive” located in a side wing. This is where the Swiss version of the legendary “Dinner for One” was filmed in March 1963, and the landmarked bar on the second floor is named after its leading actor Freddie Frinton.
The 90 m2 tower suite extends over two floors and offers a breathtaking 360° panorama over Lake Zurich and the city from the roof terrace
