The Hoxton

Paris

The 171 room large Hoxton Paris stretches across three buildings, two patios and five floors and gets its inspiration from the architectural guideline that makes the 18th Century building an official “monument historique”.

The creatives from the design studio Humbert & Poyet, Soho House as well as Ennis more Creative Studio developed a very subtle concept in which architectural elements and classic materials from the late 19th Century are mixed with 50s design.

Herringbone parquet, metal room dividers, wooden ceiling beams, iron columns, frames and panelings connect to the original flair and at the same time remind of design stars such as Jean Prouvé and Mathieu Matégot. The playful colorful motifs in the bathroom set totally different accents.

Panels of wood and marble round up the typical French interior approach in the restaurant and bar. Extra large sofas and upholstered walls underline the intimacy of the rooms. One level up, the Jaques’ Bar, named after painter Jacques Majorelle, reminds of gardens in Marrakesh thanks to floral wallpapers and palm trees.
