Under the sea is the place to be – at least when it comes to the restaurant Alkimia by Jordi Vila. Located in the hip El Raval district, not only the menu is all about fish, but also the interior.
To prepare guests for the culinary delight, they are lead by an over-dimensional wooden fish skeleton. The food is enjoyed in a surrounding of panels that remind of fish schools. The Unplugged area of the restaurant awaits with an aluminum whale set of teeth.
The restaurant is located in one of many Modernisme-buildings of the city. This one was built in 1864. During the renovation, a lot of attention was paid to the architectural substance and patina and integrated it with the maritime interior.
