Switzerland’s first Ruby Hotel has opened in a largely landmarked former commercial building on Zurich’s Beatenplatz. The Swiss architectural firm Monoplan is responsible for the careful and loving design of the hotel.
In the 208 rooms, guests of the Ruby Mimi will find contemporary luxuries such as glass rain showers and historic charm in the form of large round windows and natural brick walls.
Cineastes get their money’s worth in the hotel’s own movie theater, where comfy armchairs, red velvet curtains, and a popcorn machine make for an experience from days gone by.
Guests are welcomed into an impressive foyer with wrap-around wall friezes, textured wall surfaces, terrazzo flooring and seating niches
