The Pingrumba was opened by a group of friends who are rather known in the music and creative scene of Budapest. Common interest clique: those countries that are not part of the comfortable West but which inspire it greatly.
The old Persia, the villages of the Caucasus, the wild West Asian steppes grazed by horses and the phenomenal India manage to make a united Budapest appearance – on the menu but also the openness to the foreign radiated by this restaurant.
The garden hidden in the Nation under open sky or exotic paintings of hunting tigers inspire to travel – and remind of the ancient virtues of hospitality.
The first restaurant of the owners, Dobrumba, reminds of New York’s bistros.
