In the 80s, the Pikes was mainly known for its legendary parties: artists like Grace Jones, Tony Curtis, Spandau Ballet, Bon Jovi or George Michael were regular guests in the 500 year old finca in the green hills close to San Antonio that has been turned in to luxurious hotel with 25 rooms by owner Tony Pike.

In 2011, the boutique hotel was renovated with a lot of attention to detail by Andy McKay and Dawn Hindle, the makers of the famous “Ibiza Rocks” parties mixing traditional regional details with references to the glamour of the 80s. The pool area (the location of Wham’s “Club Tropicana” video) was kept in retro style with bar stools in the water and the restaurant Room 39 serves classic international cuisine with a modern twist.

Now the 4-star hotel received an update: The suites “Freddie’s nightclub” and “Room 9″received a completely new design, including gigantic disco balls and neon signs, in cooperation with the British interior label St George.

The Balearic rock chic also continues to live with the new record label “Pikes Records”, in collaboration with – long-time friend of the hotel and according to Rolling Stone on position ten of most influential DJs worldwide.

The “Freddie’s nightclub at Pikes” suite (in which the former Queen frontman Freddie Mercury celebrated his 41st birthday) can be booked as a private party location. It features a DJ console, bar and jacuzzi including karaoke.
