Not far from the centrally located university in a banking building from 1868, the concept store Paustian can be found. From Vitra to Cassina and Flos to Scandinavian and young design brands one can find jewelry, books, magazines and accessories. Considering the original details and attributes – such as generous mahogany wall coverings, columns that span the upper floor and the vaulted ceiling – the interior was restored carefully and thoroughly. The former vault and the former bank deposit boxes in the basement build presentation areas for smaller products and accessories. Marble, that contributes to the noble atmosphere of the interior design, can be found in different variants: The floor changes from checkered black and white to lighly marbled grey. The columns are covered in Bianco marble.
