Regarding premium brands and streetwear labels, Copenhagen is well established in the fashion world. Danish young-designer Mark Kenly Domino Tan opened his own retail store in 2018 and aims to become Scandinavia’s most successful luxury label. For the design of his first offline store, he hired Danish designer David Thulstrup, who listened to his design principles and interpreted them into the interior design: He chose a subtle concept for the store that is composed of metal, lacquered birch and light cream shades shades.
The core is a large glass wall of semi-transparent glass bricks that shimmer in blue and let the light enter the room softly. Free standing partitions in cream serve as a setting for the Ready-to-wear collection, that is – as well as the books and accessories on the centered birch table – properly staged that way.
David Thulstrup also designed the restaurant noma in collaboration with the architectural studio BIG
