The cosmopolitan hotel is located in a 19th-century building that once served as a police station and courthouse. This fact alone gives the 91-room luxury hotel a certain tension and intensity, with New York interior design studio Roman and Williams aiming to appeal to “free-spirited” people.
Over three floors, a tone both serious and playful dominates, with all lighting and furniture designed by Roman and Williams. The newly constructed atrium, enclosed by a glass ceiling, is particularly dramatic. Climbing plants hanging from the galleries and porch create the impression of a Victorian conservatory.
The Elephant Bar picks up on the Nomad’s cosmopolitan atmosphere – and also serves top-notch cocktails
