Where etudes of Polish composer Frédéric Chopin were played formerly, champagne is served in crystal glasses on laquered oak trays by Danish designer Frederik Bagger today. Because the building constructed in 1903 once hosted the Danish conservatory and now is the residence of the Nobis Hotel Copenhagen.

The building is located in the center of Denmark’s capitol and was turned into a contemporary luxury hotel that unites old and new, Danish calssicism and Scandinavian modernism by Swedish architect Gert Wingårdh. Whether it is because of the super high ceilings and the broad casement windows or the calming colors and the classy Danish furniture by Carl Hansen & Søn, as a guest you feel instantly cozy in the 77 rooms and suites.

After enjoying Nordic delicacies in the hotel’s Niels Restaurant, an explorative tour of the exciting neighborhood is recommended. No worries, since the townhall, the National Museum and the famous Tivoli Garden are only a few walking minutes away, this is also possible with a full stomach.
