Mama Shelter Lisboa

Friendly, cheeky, colorful: these adjectives describe the image of the Mama hotel brand, for whose design the in-house Mama Design Studio, but also big names like Philippe Starck, are responsible. Opened in January 2022, Mama Shelter Lisboa, the chain’s first hotel on the Iberian Peninsula, has drawn diverse inspiration from Portugal: There are Viúva Lamego tiles, blue wave carpets and smart TVs embedded in cork (cork is one of the country’s treasures), light shades made of Portuguese straw, and artwork by Bordallo Pinheiro.

In the rooms there is furniture with panels made from recycled bottle caps
