The fact that outside life in Munich is highly enjoyed is not only proven by the famous beer gardens. The summer is also especially sweet above the roofs of Bavaria’s capital, such as on the terrace of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel.
The Mahjong Roof Garden, as this grand location is called, offers visitors and guests a lovely view that spans from the twin towers of Munich’s Frauenkirche to the Alps on the horizon. Asian and Latin-American delights as well as cocktail sweeten up the view. The design is pleasantly Mediterranean, whereby small Asian sparkles set elegant accents.
The Roof Garden got its name from a true design icon: Mah Jong, the sofa designed in 1971 by Hans Hopfer for the French premium brand Roche Bobois, that adorns the roof terrace in a new outdoor version and that invites to joyful lounging with its refreshing colors.
