The 4-star superior hotel at Alexanderplatz was completely renovated in nine months. For the redesign of the 346 rooms, interior designer Andreas Neudahm relied on stylish furniture, high-quality textiles and lots of Berlin flair through pictures and photos of the city.
The design of public areas such as the lobby and staircase was up to Madeleine Moes of Designer’s House. She drew inspiration from the confidence of the 1920s. Red and saffron tones, Art Deco elements, powder and gold accents in the lobby lounge, gold satin room dividers, carpets with large pink flowers or blue and white dragonflies give the house new vibrancy and create an intimate atmosphere despite its dimensions.
Adding to the lightness is an impressive flock of paper cranes that floats in the 6.50-meter-high Open Lobby and draws the eye to the adjacent bar.
The exterior facade of the three-winged building from the 1950s is a landmarked building
