Hotel Arsenaal – the name tells a lot about the history of the building in which a new hotel opened in 2022. Built in 1601, it has undergone many changes and different uses over the centuries.
If you have a good nose, you might be able to pick up the aroma of Far Eastern spices as well as the pungent smell of gunpowder. The interior design treats this history with respect. Instead of suppressing the old times, they are sensitively complemented.
Muted colors and the use of attractive materials such as polished brass or marble open up a new chapter.
Here, organically soft upholstered furniture forms a deliberate counterpoint to the rustic austerity of the historic rooms
