On May 31, 1840, Bad Ragaz invited guests to the ceremonial opening of the thermal water pipeline. The Grand Hotel Hof Ragaz was reopened almost exactly on the 183rd anniversary of the tapping of thermal water in Bad Ragaz. With a four-and-a-half-month renovation period and the renovation of the 109 rooms and suites, fresh life was breathed into the hotel.
Guests can expect a completely revised design concept since May 2023, which focuses on natural materials and urban accents. The atmosphere: modern, fresh and bright. The main inspiration for the room and color concept came from the thermal water that is so important for the resort.
The aquamarine tones derived from it are reflected in the carpets, lamps and decorative elements, while warm brown tones and gray stone represent the landscape around the Tamina Gorge.
The spa town of Bad Ragaz holds the “Wellness Destination” seal of quality from the Swiss Tourism Association
