Stockholm has a new hotel classic: the Haymarket reminds of the wild 20s yet is very current.The Scandic hotel group opened one of its greatest signature places in downtown Stockholm in 2016.
Art Deco and modern design melt in the 405 rooms and 16 suites in the restored building that used to be the huge and exclusive PUB department store since 1882. Today we can experience international grand hotel atmosphere at the eponymous Hötorget (haymarket).
Every room exudes 20s style thanks to its marble counters, velvet sofas and custom-made wallpapers. Existing art-deco details such as floral patterns on the floors or vaulted stair cases were carefully restored and combined with current Scandinavian design.
Great! Besides a restaurant and a bar, the generous house also features a cinema and event area for up to 600 guests.
