Miami’s famous tacos can now also be eaten at the Seine. The team of the multi-disciplinary architectural studio Uchronia around Julien Sebban created a restaurant that plays with Mexican themes beyond kitsch and folklore.

The blue and white tiles remind of Middle-American midcentury, the red lights by New York’s studio Rich Brilliant Willing match neon signs inspired by Mexican lottery tickets.

The kitchen’s cool steel and the unadorned seats and tables balance the Latino look with Parisian elegance and offer the adequate background for the colorful South American delights. The fan community includes the likes of Michael Jordan, Barack Obama and David Beckham.

A 40 square meter large club can be found in the basement. The pattern on the floor remind of the black and white waves of the Copacabana.
