One of Australia’s most famous chefs took over the scepter of one of the country’s most special gastronomical addresses. The Bennelong restaurant spreads across three floors of the landmark designed by Jørn Utzon, the Sydney Opera.

Each of the floors offers different culinary experiences – and different views. The architects assigned with the design, Tonkin Zulaikha Greer, were very aware of their special challenge. They integrated brass consciously in the interior, the material strongly shaping the opera house.

The playful use of light complements the design and creates magical game on the glass surfaces. A Larrakitj work of art by the Yolngu people is placed in the center. Since 2002 it is the spiritual connection of all people of the country.

A definite must: chef Peter Gilmores’ signature dish “Eight-Textured Chocolate Cake”.
