
Kemal Demirasal is an international sailboard champion– but also one of the best and famous cooks of Turkey. His second Istanbul restaurant Alancha was developed by the design office Cacti to showcase a location with a familiar feel. Low-hanging lamps, a warm atmosphere, cool grey tones, lots of plants and brown leather chairs create an urban atmosphere in the loft-like room– without being cold and aloof. The open show kitchen enables guests to observe the masters at work.
The owner loves his wood-heated oven and uses it for his creative dishes.
