The Mekka red tuna lovers is Tunateca Balfegó. It is the first restaurant in the world that created a gastronomic concept around this special fish.
The interior features oceanic shades of blue, a fish school like light installation dominates the 350 square meter large room, a five meter high translucent curtain divides the dining area from the fie meter long sushi bar.
The trapezoid tiles were produced by a local manufacturer. By the way: The designers of El Equipo Creativo are not unknown. Among others, Ferran und Albert Adria are their clients.
Sustainable: The owners of the restaurant have founded an initiative to reduce over-fishing of the endangered red tuna.
