Named after the owner’s loyal and busy Jack Russell, the bar convinces with its coziness. For the boutique hotel Rival in Södermalm, the creatives of Adolfsson & Partners, Millimeter Arkitekter and Konceptism created an oasis of comfort while the hotel was up and running in just 24 days.
Soul, funk and jazz come out of the speakers. The covers of the 50 lounge chairs and eleven bar stools play similarly rich tones: from deep red to muted green and mustard yellow honeycomb. Small rugs assure a home-away-from-home feeling and serve as visual separation for different sitting areas.
The design cocktail is completed by shiny metal accents such as the plush bench running along the wall or the stays on the ten meter long bar.
