Architecture genus Norman Foster is the creative brain of Shanghai’s Wanda Hotel. Other than the sleek glass and steel buildings that we know from him, this place approaches us with the spirit of Art déco.
The streamline shaped motifs and artworks of the first self-proclaimed seven star hotel in the world highlight its luxury and make a stay a true experience for guests. In the lobby, floors with jade marquetry, ten meter high marble pillars and abstract paintings by Chinese artist Shi Qi impress guests.
Elements of 20th and 30th Century Shanghai reming of the style of that era. 193 elegant rooms and 14 suites vary in size from 45 to 288 square meters.
The Club Reign on the second floor is reserved exclusively for members. A personal butler serves extremely expensive Chateau Lafite and Louis-XIV cigars there.
