The Pub Plečnik is named after a Slovenian art nouveau hero, the architect Jože Plečnik and is located on Ljubljana’s Plečnik Square.
The main guideline for the interior designers was rather obvious: Upgrading the room, especially via shapes and materials that respect the cultural heritage of the building.
Premium materials such as oak, copper, stone, leather and metal are combined with terrazzo, brick, massive columns and vaulted ceilings to achieve a relaxed premium quality. Other elements are in the focus.
There is the circular mega chandelier that greets guests. A striking bottle shelf decorates the area behind the massive bar counter. LED chains and an upholstered bench that stretches across the entire room are further features.
The interior design and many custom made pieces were inspired by the work of Jože Plečniks.
