Taipei

The hotel Proverbs brings a unique variety of minimalist design enhanced with a dash of hedonism to a district of Taipeh that is very international.

The rectangular facade of black metal grid got its inspiration from an unusual source as the architects oriented themselves along Goya’s surreal “Proverbios” sequences and combined the seemingly incompatible such as copper, natural wood, leather elements, natural stone and even fine fabrics – with which the postmodern base is enhanced with an exciting addition.

The 42 guest rooms of the hotel are the work of local architects Ray Chen. Further, the hotel features a lovely rooftop pool with a view of the surrounding Da’an district.

Despite the central location the view out of the windows reveals lots of trees. That is one of the reasons that the building was certified as “Green Building”.
