A touch of Sri Lanka modernism for Soho’s famous Rupert Street: The interior, designed by Dan Preston Studio, takes its cue from the island nation’s little-known tropical-brutalist architecture.

Concrete benches, micro-cement walls and handmade clay tiles give it a very special sensuality. The studio highlights these elements using light and shadow, and creates a contrasting softness to the concrete elements with lots of planting.

Food and beverages are inspired by Colombo’s charming energy – including modern-interpreted curries, breads and Hoppers rice pancakes.
