The Nobu in Barcelona is a unusually furnished hotel that captures the unique style of the famous Spanish city and combines it with international design elements. The Rockwell Group, one of New York’s leading architecture and design studios, designed the interior.
The team was inspired by iconic Spanish design but also traditional Japanese craftsmanship. The ample mosaics in Antoni Gaudí’s Park Güell were as much sources of inspiration as were the Far-Eastern art of Kintsugi, that reunites ceramic fragments with special lacquer mixed with gold, silver and platinum powder.
