Just five minutes from the center of the Grande Dame Melbourne, the diversity of a modern, gentrified harbor area has spread out around New Quay and the Waterfront City.
Docklands is a place to go – and to stay. The sleek, sculptural architecture of the Melbourne Marriott Docklands fits in perfectly – and at the same time reflects the timeless style of the city.
The 17-storey twin towers have an infinity pool on the roof and a restaurant on the first floor. Echoing the contours of yachts in the city’s harbor, DKO has designed a building with graceful curves.
The curvilinear motif is used throughout and interpreted inside as a flow of water with a fluidity of design.
Designer Volker Haug has created pendant luminaires for the restaurant, whose light creates a cozy intimacy
