After the by far most comprehensive renovation of its 110 year long history, the iconic Mandarin Oriental Ritz opened its doors again.
It originally opened in 1910 and was designed under the management of hotelier César Ritz. The current renovation took all of three years and the unique Belle-Époque character was preserved.
Architect Rafael de La-Hoz was commissioned with the historic Restauration, French designers Gilles & Boissier were responsible for the interior. Every one of the 152 rooms, among them 53 suites, now offer a contemporary lifestyle.
All five restaurants are managed by chef Quique Dacosta who has been awarded with three Michelin stars.
