For his ambitious project, designer Lucas Muñoz focuses on a complex air conditioning system working on the basis of terracotta and water. Red clay elements make Madrid’s dry and hot air more bearable via adiabatic cooling.

Warm water is generated by the means of the residual power of two pizza ovens. Three-fold filtering prepares the used water to flush toilets. Rainwater is used on top. The liquids generated by the adiabatic terracotta cooling system are further used to water the garden.

Of course this place only works with organic and regional ingredients: free range Iberico pigs, free range chickens, organic veggies from Toledo, Saragossa, Motril and La Vera.
