The hotel founded by the Mrak family in 1916 once stood for traditional Slovenian cuisine and was a meeting spot for artists and architects. Exactly 100 years later, the Kuntarič family took on the hotel and had all 34 rooms renovated completely. The cultural inheritance of the city served as an inspiration. Each room tells its own Ljubljana story. Intense colors radiate warmth in the lobby area, a 200 year old grape vine provides shade in the garden. Its grapes can be enjoyed as the champagne “Mrakova penina”.
The salon is a vault that leads to a lovely garden. In 1918, the first meeting of the Slovenian national government was held here.
