German Gymnasium

Bar
London

Culinary delights in a gym: In 1865 the patriarchal building was built for the German Gymnastics Society. After the reconstruction into a restaurant, the architectural parameters, such as the high ceilings and the open floorplan, were kept. Conran and Partner quoted the origin of the building and introduced sporty references to the interior. The kitchen is also fit vor a demanding audience. In a causal atmosphere, more or less German specialties such as Schnitzel or Bratwurst but also international classics like Steak Tartar or seafood salad can be enjoyed.

Special Tips

Afternoon Tee is served between 3 and 5.30 pm in the café. Little delights are served on chic stagiers.

Architecture

Londpn’s architects Allies and Morrison gave the original construction by Edward A Gruning / Piper and Wheeler (1864-65) an update.
