The designers of the Danish studio OeO have turned the generous rooms of a historic building at Copenhagen’s lakes into the flagship store of the Danish manufacturer Dinesen, which is mainly known for premium wood floors.
The 600 square meter large area was split into two areas: “Extraordinary by Nature” is the name of the part of the showroom in which the especially exclusive, long and wide floorboards are presented. This area was designed like a home with dining room, library and kitchen.
For the wall colors, the designers were inspired by Danish Vilhelm Hammershøi. The showroom area “Tree of a Kind” shows Dinesen’s creative side in a playful manner. Different floorboards, wall panels and installations display the diversity of Dinesen’s wood products.
The ceiling installation made of 1,024 wooden sticks in a wave pattern is very impressive
