The Carlton Hotel in St. Moritz has contributed to the exclusive reputation of the swank ski resort for over 100 years. In order to keep it that way, the hotel, originally built in 1913, was remodeled thoroughly in 2006 and 2007. Since then, it combines contemporary luxury with glamorous history.

The impressive staircase or the stucco decor on the ceiling of the ballroom remind of the former grand hotel, while the suites with noble materials, modern technology and maximum light and space cater to the demands of contemporary guests of a 5-star hotel.

But even in the suites you can still feel some of historic traits of the hotel in some details. Some of the antique furniture was carefully refurbished with new fabrics and paint and now give the modern color scheme a very special unique character.

There is no better place to enjoy dolce far niente than on the lovely sun terrace. From there, you can soak in the terrific mountain and lake panorama – and that almost every day as St. Moritz has an average of 322 sun days per year!
