The small bar in moroccan style is a place that is both unusual and enchanting. Architect Kacper Gronkiewicz was surprisingly inspired by an art installation by Franz West: sofas covered by rugs.

Gronkiewicz took the rug idea and used it in the bar to cover the walls. The approach remained the same though: to use second hand materials – and with that also the stories of former owners – and with that create coziness.

Brass elements, a red floor and dark blue walls contribute to a mysterious overall look and feel.

The bar name is the theme, the choice seemed obvious: Aura refers to the Latin name for gold, Amrum, on the one side and to the drinks prepared with bourbon on the other side.
